Patient flees ambulance and jumps into the Tiber in Rome
Original: ambulanza
In Rome, a man being transported by ambulance escaped the vehicle in a scene witnesses compared to an action film. He stole clothes, ran from the paramedics, and jumped into the Tiber in an attempt to get away. The escape ended quickly: he was pulled from the river and arrested by police, who took him into custody.
Why now: The dramatic and unusual escape, straight out of an action movie, made the story spread widely in Italy.
