Claim: Pentagon sends undercover soldiers to spy on China

Original: I already reported in my book (see chapter 10, especially page 134) that the Pentagon sends active-duty US Army soldiers

A writer says his book, in chapter 10 on page 134, reported that the Pentagon sends active-duty US Army soldiers into China under deep cover, posing as American businessmen. He is welcoming what he describes as other reporters now pursuing the same story, a claim that has drawn significant attention online.

Why now: An author is publicly claiming the Pentagon runs a covert spying programme against China, a provocative accusation that fuels discussion amid US-China tensions.
