Free Software Foundation urges DRM-free education
Original: A truly free education means DRM-free. Together, we can build a future in which everyone will be able to learn in freedo
The Free Software Foundation is calling for donations to help bring free software into learning environments worldwide, arguing that genuinely free education must be free of digital restrictions management. The campaign says learners should be able to study 'in freedom' and understand their rights as users of technology, with the FSF's Defective by Design anti-DRM effort amplifying the message.
Why now: The FSF is running an active fundraising campaign promoting DRM-free, free software in schools.
