Original: ‘America, this is a warning’: pro- Trump Maga media in a froth over Europe protests https://www. theguardian.com/us-news
Pro-Trump media figures are covering anti-government protests across Europe, including Italy, framing them as a warning of what could come to the United States. Outlets and commentators such as Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Rick Santorum have seized on the unrest, tying the message to ahead-of-the-midterms anxiety among Republicans ahead of the 2026 US midterm elections.
Why now: Commentators are using European unrest to rally voters and frame the stakes of the 2026 US midterm elections.
