A Belgian team at the Backyard Ultra Team World Championships has reached 500 miles (805 km) after five days of running. The Belgians have kept the pace for 120 straight hours, drawing amazement online, with posts quoting the Proclaimers song 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)'.

Why now: The Belgian team's five-day feat of running 500 miles in an endurance ultramarathon is remarkable and prompted the humorous Proclaimers comparison.
