Turkey in the spotlight over Libya deal and Canada visit

Original: turkey

Turkey is drawing attention on two fronts. Greece's foreign minister repeated that the 2019 Turkey-Libya maritime boundaries agreement 'remains null and void', keeping a long-running eastern Mediterranean dispute alive. Meanwhile, Canada's Mark Carney arrived in Turkey to build a new partnership as Ottawa seeks to diversify ties beyond the United States.

Why now: Fresh diplomatic developments involving Turkey, from the Greece-Libya dispute to Canadian outreach, are keeping the country in the news.
