Original: Google Lens is finding new ways to make YouTube Shorts even more annoying Getting in the way of YouTube Shorts, literall
Google is adding a Google Lens shortcut directly into the YouTube Shorts interface, placing the visual search tool on top of the short-form video player. Commenters and tech writers are criticizing the move as clutter that gets in the way of watching, with some calling it another example of unnecessary UI additions to the Shorts experience.
Why now: Users are annoyed that Google is cluttering the Shorts player with a Lens button they did not ask for.
