Edited Clip Falsely Shows Swedish King Snubbing Zelensky Handshake
A doctored video circulating in Sweden appears to show King Carl XVI Gustaf refusing to shake hands with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The clip has been edited to remove the actual handshake, which took place as planned. Swedish viewers are sharing corrections and condemning the spread of manipulated footage of the royal family and the Ukrainian leader.
Why now: Misinformation about Zelensky's diplomatic receptions is spreading widely and prompting fact-checks.
