Artists are posting their entries for Inktober 2026, the annual October drawing challenge, with the day's prompt 'beacon'. One French-speaking illustrator paired their ink drawing of a sunken city with a quote from H. P. Lovecraft's 1920 story 'The Temple', depicting drowned buildings, arches, statues and a colossal temple. The piece is being shared and appreciated under the MastoArt tag.

Why now: Inktober is running now and artists are sharing daily prompt drawings, which attracts attention and engagement across art communities.
