Rugby World Cup winner's son to play tennis for France

Original: iain balshaw

The son of Iain Balshaw, the Blackburn-born England rugby union World Cup winner, has chosen to pursue tennis under a French flag. The decision means the next generation of the family will represent France rather than the country of his father's greatest triumph, drawing attention from British sports fans.

Why now: The contrast between the father's England rugby legacy and the son's decision to play tennis for France is notable and surprising to British audiences.
