French account sparks discussion with 'got my hands on' post amid riots
Original: >Account based in France >Ongoing riots in the country >Tweet says "get my hand on" instead of "bought"
A social media account based in France has drawn wide attention after writing that it 'got its hands on' something, a phrasing many readers are taking to hint at looting, as riots continue across the country. The post has drawn tens of thousands of likes, with users debating whether it is an admission or a joke about the unrest.
Why now: Ongoing riots in France have made claims of looting or opportunist acquisitions highly shareable and provocative.
