Reports: Dutch government hacked Jared Kushner's phone
Original: Dutch government had hacked into Jared Kushner's phone
The claim that the Dutch government hacked into Jared Kushner's phone while he served as a senior adviser in the Trump White House is circulating widely. Kushner, Donald Trump's son-in-law, handled Middle East policy and held top-secret clearance during his administration role. If confirmed, foreign surveillance of such a senior US official would be a serious intelligence and diplomatic matter, raising questions about phone security and allied espionage.
Why now: The allegation that a close US ally spied on a former top White House adviser is a striking espionage and security story.
