Most web traffic is bots, not humans, analysis shows
Original: Le trafic humain, c'est uniquement les lignes en vert. Les autres lignes, ce sont des # robots . Certains se présentent
A breakdown of web traffic shared on Mastodon claims only lines marked in green represent genuine human visitors, while the rest are robots. Some bots openly identify themselves, while others disguise themselves as legitimate browser traffic, betrayed by incoherent IPv6 traffic rates. The observation feeds into ongoing debate about how much of the internet's activity is automated rather than human.
Why now: Growing concern about bot traffic distorting web statistics and masquerading as real users
