Israeli forces have begun a full lockdown of the occupied West Bank, with raids in Hebron forcing more than 2,000 Palestinians from their homes and leading to dozens of arrests, according to reports citing Al Jazeera coverage. The lockdown is described as broad and sweeping, with the Hebron operation adding detail to its scale. Displacement on this scale would mark a significant escalation in military activity across the territory.
Why now: Reports of mass displacement and a territory-wide lockdown mark a major escalation in the West Bank that people are following closely.
