AI-generated images of autumn landscapes, showing rivers, forests and mountains in fall colours, are being shared and reshared across decentralised social networks. The images are tagged as AI art and made with the Qwen image model run locally through ComfyUI, a workflow tool popular with hobbyists. Posts show how readily open-source image models now produce photorealistic nature scenes.
Why now: New open-source image models like Qwen make local AI image generation accessible, and creators are showing off the results.
