Police in the UK have arrested a 15-year-old boy, seized his devices and collected his DNA sample after he posted a photo of a local politician edited to look like a rabbit. The case is drawing heavy attention online, with many questioning whether the response was proportionate to a satirical image and reigniting debate over free speech and police handling of online posts.
Why now: Many see the arrest of a child over a satirical image as a disproportionate free-speech controversy.
