Serbian student movement enters elections, could defeat Vučić
Original: The Serbian student movement is no longer content with just protesting: it has entered the elections and could very well
Serbia's student movement, until now known for mass street protests, has decided to contest elections rather than remain in the streets. Volunteers are fielding candidates to challenge incumbent President Aleksandar Vučić and his ruling party in the parliamentary vote, and observers say the movement has a real chance of winning.
Why now: The student movement's shift from protest to electoral politics marks a major escalation against Vučić's government.
