Windows 11 to finally get a built-in internet speed test tool
Original: Microsoft heard my complaints, Windows 11 finally getting proper Internet Speed Test tool
Microsoft is adding a proper internet speed test tool to Windows 11, addressing a long-standing gap that users had complained about, according to a report by Neowin. Until now, checking connection speeds required third-party websites or apps. The move is being welcomed as a practical quality-of-life improvement, with coverage framing it as Microsoft responding directly to user feedback.
Why now: Windows users have long relied on third-party tools for speed tests, so a built-in option is a notable convenience worth discussing.
