Sheinbaum to visit Morelia, Apatzingán and Pátzcuaro this weekend
Original: michoacán
Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum will travel to Michoacán this weekend, visiting Morelia, Apatzingán and Pátzcuaro, according to Governor Ramírez Bedolla. The visit comes as victims protested at a CSP event in Apatzingán demanding peace, amid ongoing security concerns in the state, while Hurricane Vance's strengthening puts Mexico's Pacific coast, including Guerrero and Colima, on alert.
Why now: The presidential visit to violence-hit Michoacán coincides with victim protests and storm alerts along the Pacific coast.
