Holocaust survivor VR documentaries made free to fight antisemitism
Original: # VirtualReality gegen Antisemitismus: # Holocaust -Dokus jetzt kostenlos verfügbar | heise online https://www. heise.de
Three virtual reality documentaries featuring Holocaust survivors telling their stories are now available free of charge for Meta Quest headsets. The project uses immersive testimony to counter rising antisemitism and bring first-hand accounts to younger generations as survivors age and numbers of witnesses dwindle. German tech media report the documentaries were previously paid but can now be downloaded at no cost.
Why now: Rising antisemitism and the aging of Holocaust survivors make new ways of preserving testimony newly relevant.
