Neighbours recut into Margot Robbie microdrama draws cast anger
Original: Neighbours is being recut into a microdrama focused on Margot Robbie – and her co-stars aren’t happy https://www. thegua
The long-running Australian soap Neighbours is being recut into a short-form mobile microdrama centred on Margot Robbie's early role, and some of her former co-stars are unhappy about it. Reporting by the Guardian points to AI involvement in producing the reworked series, with cast members criticising the use of their old performances in the new format.
Why now: The combination of a beloved soap, a Hollywood star's early footage, AI recutting and cast objections has made the story a talking point.
