Neighbours recut into Margot Robbie microdrama draws co-star anger

Original: Neighbours is being recut into a microdrama focused on Margot Robbie – and her co-stars aren’t happy By Ima Caldwell Rob

The long-running Australian soap Neighbours is being recut into short vertical micro-episodes for phone viewing, centred on Margot Robbie's storylines from her time on the show. Former cast members have criticised the project, saying they were not consulted about the reuse of their performances. The plan has sparked debate about consent and control over archive footage.

Why now: Former Neighbours cast members have publicly objected to their scenes being repackaged without consultation.
