Original: dave aranda

Baylor University has dismissed head football coach Dave Aranda, announcing the decision one day after the Bears' loss to Kansas. Aranda, who led Baylor since 2020 and guided the team to a Big 12 championship in 2021, leaves amid a disappointing season. The move immediately raises questions about who will succeed him and the direction of the program.

Why now: A prominent college football program abruptly fired its head coach right after a bad loss, prompting speculation about the timing and his replacement.
