Online Backlash Targets Small Cookie Business
Original: I Hope Your Small "Cookie" Business Fails :)
A wave of online attention has formed around a blunt message directed at a small cookie business, with a post openly wishing for its failure gathering well over a million likes. The tone mixes sarcasm and open hostility toward the venture, and it has become one of the most engaged pieces of business-related commentary circulating globally, with people taking sides over whether the criticism is fair.
Why now: The openly hostile, sarcastic wish for a small business to fail is unusual and provocative, driving massive engagement and debate.
