Programmers and open-source fans are once again trading jokes about the choice between Windows and Linux. The memes lean on familiar themes: Linux as freedom and control thanks to its open-source nature, Windows as the proprietary default most users settle for. The penguin mascot Tux makes the rounds as the emblem of that freedom, keeping a lighthearted community debate alive.
Why now: The recurring Windows-versus-Linux rivalry remains a reliable source of humor for tech and open-source communities.
