Clayface's Body Horror Draws Divided Reactions
Original: Clayface's Body Horror Draws Divided Reactions For R-Rated Batman Movie
Early reactions to the R-rated Clayface film, part of the Batman universe, are split over its body horror elements. Some viewers praise the movie for embracing gruesome, unsettling transformation effects rarely seen in superhero films, while others find the horror too extreme. The debate has made Clayface one of the more talked-about entries in DC's recent slate.
Why now: An R-rated take on a Batman villain featuring graphic body horror is an unusual and divisive direction for a superhero movie.
