Persimmon tree that grew on its own turns autumn colors in Fukuoka
Original: 柿の木
A persimmon tree that sprouted on its own in front of Mina Tenjin in Fukuoka has turned its autumn colors, according to a Nishinihon Shimbun report. The tree, which grew without anyone planting it, has become a small local point of interest as it now displays vivid fall foliage outside the shopping complex.
Why now: The seasonal change of an unexpected, self-grown urban tree is a charming local human-interest story.
