Original: There's hope... (a @ jolla thread of nothing less than our digital future) 💚 1/? # Hope # Jolla # JollaPhone # SailfishO
Jolla, the Finnish company behind the Sailfish OS mobile operating system, is being discussed as a source of optimism for Europe's digital future. Supporters frame the independent, open-source phone platform as an alternative to dominant US and Chinese mobile ecosystems, tying it to growing interest in European digital sovereignty and open-source alternatives for everyday devices.
Why now: Interest in European digital sovereignty and non-US mobile alternatives is driving attention to independent platforms like Sailfish OS.
