Four-Star Wide Receiver Stays With Illinois Despite Ohio State Offer
Original: Four-Star WR Reaffirms Illinois Commitment After Ohio State Offer
A four-star wide receiver recruit has reaffirmed his commitment to Illinois after receiving an offer from Ohio State. The Buckeyes had hoped to flip the highly rated prospect, but he has chosen to stand by his pledge to the Fighting Illini. For Illinois, it is a significant recruiting win in holding off one of the Big Ten's premier programs.
Why now: College football recruiting updates draw heavy fan interest, especially when a big program like Ohio State tries and fails to flip a committed recruit.
