Palestinians in Gaza fear another famine after the World Food Program announced funding cuts that will strip an estimated 500,000 people of critical food assistance. Daily hot meal distributions are set to fall from 250,000 to 150,000, deepening an already severe humanitarian crisis in the territory.
Why now: Funding cuts to food aid at a moment of extreme hunger in Gaza are raising alarm about a return of famine conditions.
