Italian anti-immigration post sparks heated online debate
Original: This is Italy. This is mass migration. Get these animals out before it's too late.
A message described as being about Italy and mass migration, using dehumanising language toward migrants and demanding their removal, is drawing significant attention online in Italy. No specific incident, location or date is given. The post has already drawn thousands of engagements and reflects the intense public argument in Italy over immigration and the treatment of asylum seekers.
Why now: Immigration remains a highly polarising topic in Italy, so inflammatory posts on the subject quickly attract large engagement.
