Original: Jennifer Peedom On Tenzing, Mount Everest, And The Sherpa Community’s Unsung Contributions https:// fed.brid.gy/r/https:
Filmmaker Jennifer Peedom is speaking about Tenzing Norgay, Mount Everest and the contributions of the Sherpa community, arguing their role in the mountain's climbing history has long gone under-recognised. Peedom has documented Everest and its climbing culture in past work, and the interview revisits Tenzing's legacy alongside the first ascent story with Edmund Hillary.
Why now: Peedom is promoting renewed discussion of Everest history and Sherpa recognition through new coverage of her work.
