Original: NASA seeks permanent leader for Space Launch System program at Marshall Space Flight Center
NASA is looking to appoint a permanent program manager for the Space Launch System rocket program based at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The position has been running under interim leadership, and a permanent appointment would provide stability for the heavy-lift rocket program central to NASA's Artemis moon missions as the agency weighs the program's future direction and budget.
Why now: Ongoing leadership uncertainty at a key NASA rocket program raises questions about the future of the Space Launch System.
