German news startup nius faces press criticism
Original: nius
The German media outlet nius is being debated over what it actually is: a news startup delivering journalism, or a political campaign portal. Critics, including left-leaning media monitors, question its editorial standards and political alignment. Supporters see it as an alternative to established German media. The discussion reflects broader concerns about the blurred line between news reporting and political campaigning in new digital outlets.
Why now: Ongoing debate in Germany over whether nius is legitimate journalism or political campaigning.
