The Dutch Tweede Kamer has adopted a motion by 113 votes calling on the government to push bidirectional charging as a standard for new electric cars via the European action plan for electrification. With bidirectional charging, an electric car can not only draw power but also feed electricity back to the grid or a home. Supporters see it as a way to ease pressure on the power grid and make better use of renewable energy.
