The Stoner Kids Dealing Guns to the Army
A new report examines how a group of young, low-level gun dealers, dismissed by many as stoners, have become a key arms supplier to an army, exposing gaps in weapons trafficking controls and the military's reliance on informal markets. Viewers are reacting strongly to the unlikely pairing of laid-back youth culture and serious arms dealing, debating how such a supply chain could operate so openly.
Why now: The striking contrast between who the dealers are and who they are supplying has drawn wide attention.
