Ottawa voters urged to back candidates backing city projects

Original: Hey, do want to make downtown safer? Make transit better? Fix the roads? Build more pools so that kids can learn to swim

Ahead of Ottawa's municipal election, residents are being urged to spend $50 — the cost of joining the city's vote — and support candidates who promise safer downtowns, better transit, improved roads and more public pools so children can learn to swim. The message frames these local projects as simple, affordable improvements that would benefit everyone in the city.

Why now: Municipal election campaigning is underway, with residents promoting candidates based on concrete local projects
