A roundup of twelve books Theodore Roosevelt loved is drawing attention among readers. Despite insisting no definitive list of best books could exist, Roosevelt was famously forthcoming about his personal favorites, and the piece highlights the titles that shaped the avid reader and 26th US president.

Why now: People enjoy lists of famous readers' favorite books, and Roosevelt's contradictory habit of denying such lists while sharing his own makes it a charming topic.
