Random House pulls Palestine book co-written by Alana Hadid
Original: Palestine book co-written by Alana Hadid pulled from Random House just before release https://www.theguardian.com/books/
A book about Palestine co-written by Alana Hadid, sister of models Gigi and Bella Hadid, has been withdrawn by Penguin Random House shortly before its scheduled release. The cancellation, reported by the Guardian, has drawn attention from readers and commentators asking whether political pressure around Palestine-related publishing played a role in the publisher's decision.
Why now: The last-minute withdrawal of a high-profile Palestine book by a major publisher is being read as potential political or commercial pressure on publishing.
