Supporters of Palestine are sharing messages of steadfastness, declaring that Palestinians remain rooted in their land 'as deep as our olive trees' amid the ongoing war in Gaza. The posts invoke traditional symbols of Palestinian agriculture—olives, palms, grape vines, figs and thyme—as emblems of identity and resistance, pairing declarations of permanence with calls for liberty and references to genocide.

Why now: The ongoing war and humanitarian crisis in Gaza are driving expressions of solidarity and Palestinian national resilience online.
