Storms have swept through Yorkshire, but one resident reports their area avoided any major effects. Attention has turned instead to construction workers on a nearby building site, who are expected to have a difficult day as conditions continue. The comment captures a common mood in affected regions: relief at escaping the worst of the weather while sympathy goes to those who must work outdoors through it.
Why now: Ongoing storms in Yorkshire are prompting people to share local conditions and how the weather affects daily life and work.
