The Athletic's annual NBA general manager survey for the 2026-27 season is out, and one question stands out: whether the San Antonio Spurs are being overrated. The piece centers on Victor Wembanyama and how heavily executives may be weighting the Spurs in their preseason predictions, a debate now playing out among fans and analysts.
Why now: The annual GM survey always sparks debate, and high expectations around Wembanyama's Spurs make their ranking contentious.
