Rabbi charged with murder over Costco gas station killing
Original: SoCal rabbi charged with murder in Costco gas station incident
A Southern California rabbi has been charged with murder in connection with a fatal incident at a Costco gas station. The Forward reported the charge, which has drawn attention because of the suspect's religious leadership role and the unusual setting of the alleged crime. Few further details about the victim, the circumstances or the rabbi's response have been made available so far.
Why now: The rare combination of a clergy member facing a murder charge makes the case a high-profile story.
