Native Prometheus Integration Comes to Nginx
Original: Native Prometheus Integration with Nginx
Nginx now offers native Prometheus integration, exposing its metrics directly in the format the popular monitoring system consumes without extra exporters or third-party tooling. The news, discussed on Hacker News, is drawing attention from developers and operations teams who have long relied on community-maintained exporters to monitor Nginx performance, simplifying observability stacks.
Why now: Simplified, built-in monitoring for a widely used web server removes a long-standing pain point for infrastructure teams.
