Fans rally behind Mass Effect with #SaveMassEffect
Original: #SaveMassEffect
Fans of the Mass Effect role-playing game series are using the hashtag #SaveMassEffect to voice concern about the franchise's future. Posts call on EA and BioWare to keep supporting and developing the sci-fi series, which has not had a new mainline entry since Mass Effect: Andromeda in 2017. Players are sharing memories of the trilogy and urging the publishers to commit to the next game.
Why now: Concern among fans that the Mass Effect franchise may be at risk is driving coordinated online support for the series.
