UN commission accuses Israel of genocide and war crimes
Original: Die UNO wirft # Israel Völkermord und Kriegsverbrechen vor Eine unabhängige internationale Kommission der UNO ist zu dem
An independent international UN commission has concluded that Israel has committed war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide in the occupied Palestinian territories. The findings mark one of the strongest official accusations levelled against Israel by a UN body since the war in Gaza began. Israeli authorities reject the report, while human rights groups and governments worldwide are debating its conclusions and what consequences should follow.
Why now: The UN commission's formal genocide accusation is a major escalation in international debate over the Gaza war.
