Genie Francis, longtime star of General Hospital, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Honor at the Daytime Emmy Awards, with Jonathan Frakes presenting the tribute. The pairing is notable because Frakes and Francis are married, adding a personal touch to the industry recognition of her decades-long soap opera career.

Why now: The news combines a major daytime TV honor with the fan-favorite detail that her husband will present the award.
