Fauda co-creator defends omitting Gaza suffering from October 7 drama
Original: We left out Gaza’s suffering because world needs to hear Israel’s experience of October 7, says Fauda co-creator
The co-creator of the Israeli series Fauda has said the show deliberately left out Gaza's suffering, arguing the world needed to hear Israel's experience of the October 7 Hamas attacks first. His comments have drawn attention to debates over how Israeli media portrays the conflict and whether Palestinian perspectives are being sidelined in dramatisations of the war.
Why now: His justification for excluding Palestinian perspectives is proving contentious amid ongoing coverage of the Gaza war.
