ABC Interview Criticized Over Guest's Antisemitic and 9/11 Claims
Original: Melat Kiros Blames Jews for Being Firebombed and Americans for 9/11, ABC Doesn’t Push Back
Camera group CAMERA is accusing ABC of failing to challenge Melat Kiros, an interview guest who allegedly blamed Jews for being firebombed and Americans for the September 11 attacks. The group says the network's failure to push back amounts to mainstreaming antisemitic and anti-American rhetoric. Critics are questioning ABC's editorial standards and interview vetting over the incident.
Why now: A watchdog group's accusation that a major US network aired inflammatory claims without challenge is drawing backlash.
