The family of Quentin Deranque, who died in Lyon, is calling for La France Insoumise deputy Raphaël Arnault to be questioned as part of the investigation, seeking his questioning on suspicion of 'association de malfaiteurs' (criminal association). The case, covered by Lyon Capitale, places the leftist parliamentarian at the centre of a controversy over his possible links to those involved in the death.
Why now: The involvement of a sitting MP in a death investigation is politically explosive and raises questions about La France Insoumise.
